UFC 138 picks

In UFC 138 will be able to see the first 5 round matches for a non title fight. Chris Leben will fight Mark Munoz. This fight is a very interesting one and it will be a good fight. Chris Leben is a fighter that always leaves everything on the octagon and Mark Munoz has become a more complete fighter. In my opinion Mark Munoz is the better fighter but we can't count out Leben.
In the co main event will have the Brad Pickett vs. Renan Barao fight. This also will be a good fight and one of these fighters will be a great force in the bantamweight division. This is also interest match-up. Renan Barao has only one lose and that was back on 2026. He has great standup and great BJJ. In other hand we have Pickett with great wrestling and also great standup. On paper Renan Barao seems to be a better fighter but style makes fights and Picket's wrestling can cause a lot of trouble to Barao. Renan seems to have a better standup but many times strikers have problems with wrestlers because they have to concentrate on the take-downs. Renan can be dangerous with the BJJ but Picket has a good ground defense. In my opinion this will be a very competitive fight and Picket will win a very close decision.
In the next fight we have Thiago Alves against Papy Abedi. Although some losses Alves is still a top contender in the welterweight division. Papy Abedi is debuting in the UFC and he will have a difficult task against Alves. Abedi have some grappling ability but I think it will not be enough to counter Alves striking abilities.
The nest match in the main card will be Terry Etim vs. Eddie Faaloloto. Etim will have the home advantage and has far better record than his opponent. Faaloloto has 4-2 record and by now he hasn't show too may skills. Etim seems to be a big favorite but since Faaloloto only has 4 fights he have more room for improvement. I think Etim will win this fight but this is a good fight to risk with the underdog.
The last fight of the main card will be Cyrille Diabate vs. Anthony Perosh. Diabate is very good striker and his last fight was a win over Steve Cantwell. Perosh returned to the UFC facing Mirko Crop Cop were he lost. In his last fight he dropped to the light heavyweight division and won by submission in the first round. Cyrille Diabate seems to have problems against wrestlers but I think that Perosh doesn't have the wrestling ability to take Diabate down and I expect Diabate to dominate with his striking and secure a 3rd round finish.
